Working From The Homestead Means That I Can Have A Better Opportunity Of Maintaining My Clients
I was feeling a bit off colour yesterday. Not quite the full ticket, a little wibbly in the self as it were. So after lunch I took to my bed and grabbed some sleep for a couple of hours. When I woke up I was far better, fresh and revived and returned to work. Which was all straightforward to do as I labour at home and for myself so I gave myself permission, carried on with operations providing superior SEO and IT support services to businesses in and around the Black Country.

It is an absolute advantage that the home-worker has. If I was based in an office somewhere I'd have either had to try to battle my way through the day feeling lousy and very probably gradually getting worse, or choose to jack in the day, make my apologies and go home without the likelihood of returning and picking up where I left it. Plus I'd have the annoyance of having to submit forms, maybe have to endure a 'back to work interview' as I really have to have my intelligence insulted as a punishment for feeling unwell. But, in doing SEO work I can just save my work, crawl under the quilt, pick a quality sleep and when I awoke, cross the landing to the office and press on.
It would not have been so if I had been on an IT support call of course, although the choice would have been to finish the call I was on and then either decide to postpone any outstanding appointments or pause for a breath of air or a snooze in the car before going on. It would also depend on the location in the Black Country I was of course, if I was adjacent to home I could always scurry back for my sleep and let outstanding appointments know that I was going to be held up, though of course if there was a proper emergency situation somewhere then of course I would need to be really ill to let them down.
It is of course the eternal conundrum of the contractor. No work, no money and if you let customer down then they will always have the option to find somebody else that they may reckon to be more reliable, that's basic business sense.
So, whether being employed to boost someone's website with SEO, or keeping their software and hardware operating by giving IT support, feeling wobbly doesn't need to stop me aiding my clients' business, which being office bound probably would, which is for the best.
