How Can The Internet Improve Our Lives?

The Internet has quite a few disadvantages if we were to think of the "annoying" spam that we receive everyday in our email box or the fatal effects or backlashes of sharing secrets with children who are looking for "friendship" in the obscure rooms of the internet chat.

The Internet has quite a few disadvantages if we were to think of the "annoying" spam that we receive everyday in our email box or the fatal effects or backlashes of sharing secrets with children who are looking for "friendship" in the obscure rooms of the internet chat.

What is the internet and what does it refer to? Which are its advantages and disadvantages? What did it appear and why is it so useful? These are questions who common people could reply to by answering: "Nowadays everything revolves around the Internet." The internet is an electronic network which enables people to "keep in touch" with the information.

The web is taken seriously, having the size and the volume of real markets, even if it can still be enlarged furthermore. The astronomical dimensions that the "internet phenomenon" has reached are based on several motivations. The development of the virtual market exponentially took place naturally.

For example, we can ask ourselves: "Why go to cinema when we can download that movie from the internet and watch it home?", "Why bother buying that CD, when we can easily look it up on the internet and listen to it there?" All these lead to less physical activity, social interaction, diminished self-confidence, because people have already started to prefer talking over the messenger instead of meeting up and have a normal free discussion. Internet is like a "virus" widely influencing people's action, as they act like addicts: they spend hours in front of the monitor and forget about hunger, thirst, and even sleep.

In conclusion, the internet has crashed down all the barriers related to distance and communication, but it really turns into a great tool the moment we learn how to handle it, without falling into the sin of abusing it. It made possible the connection between "us" and "them".
There is still one last question spinning in our minds: "How would the world be like if it weren't for the Internet?"
I personally believe that the Internet helps us evolve and develop from both a cultural and social point of view.
